More news from Ian
It’s been a busy few months…
I’ve had a great time working with Pat Edwards again. We’ve now finished our second project with the children of Montgomery Church in Wales School – Montgomery Lives – funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (so many thanks to them!) and presented in conjunction with St Nicholas Church in Montgomery. The children had a terrific time with Pat’s wonderful writing tasks and were absolutely brilliant singing my setting of Pat’s poem, My Ancestors in a Human Pyramid (after Jonathan Edwards). Click here to listen to them singing.
Of course, you’ll know all about my trip to Cardiff in May for the BBC National Orchestra of Wales’s premiere of Canzoni d’Amore da Lontano (Cavatina for Small Orchestra) under the baton of Ryan Bancroft. Do watch this space for news of the broadcast!

I’m really looking forward to my return to Sussex, where I spent many happy years as Director of Music at the incomparable Lancing College. Some Easy Music will receive its second performance on Saturday 3 July from the Musicians of All Saints, directed by Peter Michael Davison at the All Saints Centre in Lewes. Like anybody who’s learning to manage a website for the first time, learning curves are steep and time-consuming. Please don’t give up on the hope of reading more about my home-baking adventures. The IBBC pages will be updated very soon, promise…
Do please contact me directly if you’d like to purchase or hire some my music, or if you’d like to peruse any of the items in the Lists of Works.
